Beaufort Park

Scaffolding

Project Overview

At Beaufort Park, Deep Contractors successfully secured the scaffold access package across five residential blocks, with heights ranging from 26 metres to 59 metres. The variation in building heights and layouts required a well-planned, adaptable scaffold solution to support the construction programme safely and efficiently.

Located in Colindale, North London, the site formed part of the final phase of the 25-acre Beaufort Park development, delivered by St George, Berkeley Group. This phase comprised 485 residential apartments, providing a mix of private rented and affordable housing, and represented a key milestone in the completion of the wider masterplan.

Scope of Works

Deep Contractors were responsible for the design, supply, erection, adaptation, and dismantling of all scaffold access solutions across the five blocks. The works were carefully phased to align with the structural frame, façade installation, roofing, and finishing trades.

The complexity of the scheme required scaffold systems capable of supporting multiple work fronts simultaneously, while maintaining safe access and egress for operatives at all levels.

Coordination & Programme Management

Due to the scale and density of the site, close coordination with the frame contractor, principal contractor, and other trades was essential. Deep Contractors worked collaboratively with the project team to plan scaffold sequences in line with the evolving construction programme.

Regular coordination meetings ensured scaffold alterations were carried out efficiently, allowing follow-on trades to progress without delay and minimising disruption across the site.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Health and Safety was a core focus throughout the project. All scaffold structures were designed, erected, and maintained in accordance with TG20 and SG4 guidance, with regular inspections and proactive site engagement.

This approach ensured safe working at height, reduced risk across multiple interfaces, and maintained consistently high safety standards throughout the duration of the works.

Logistics & Site Constraints

Working within a live, multi-block development required detailed logistics planning. Scaffold deliveries, erection, and dismantling activities were carefully scheduled to manage restricted access routes and maintain safe pedestrian and plant movement across the site.

Deep Contractors’ experience on large-scale residential schemes enabled the team to adapt quickly to changing site conditions and programme demands.

Project Outcome

Deep Contractors successfully completed the scaffold access package in line with programme requirements. The works contributed to the timely topping-out and completion of the buildings, supporting the successful delivery of one of North London’s most significant residential developments.
