Project Overview

Based in the heart of New Barnet, Deep Contractors successfully secured and delivered the scaffold access package across 11 residential blocks at the Victoria Quarter development for Fairview New Homes. The scheme forms a major residential development within a prominent town-centre location, requiring a coordinated and safety-focused approach to temporary access solutions.

Scope of Works

Deep Contractors were responsible for the design, supply, erection, adaptation, and dismantling of scaffold access systems across all 11 blocks. The scaffolding was installed to support the structural frame, façade works, roofing, and internal finishing trades, with solutions tailored to suit the varying building layouts and heights across the development.

Coordination & Interface Management

Given the number of blocks and the town-centre setting, the project required close collaboration with the principal contractor and multiple trades operating simultaneously. Deep Contractors worked alongside the site management team to sequence scaffold works in line with the construction programme, ensuring safe access was maintained while minimising disruption to adjacent activities.

Regular coordination meetings and ongoing communication allowed scaffold alterations to be carried out efficiently, supporting continuous progress across the site.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Health and Safety remained a core priority throughout the project. All scaffold structures were designed and installed in accordance with TG20 and SG4 guidance, with regular inspections and proactive engagement with site management to maintain safe working conditions at all times.

Logistics & Town-Centre Constraints

Operating within a busy New Barnet town-centre location presented logistical challenges, including restricted access, neighbouring properties, and public interfaces. Scaffold deliveries, erection, and dismantling works were carefully planned to maintain safe pedestrian routes and comply with local authority requirements.

Deep Contractors’ experience in working on constrained urban sites ensured the project was delivered efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Project Outcome

Deep Contractors successfully delivered the scaffold access package across all 11 blocks, supporting Fairview New Homes in the ongoing construction of the Victoria Quarter development. The works were completed in line with programme requirements, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of this significant residential scheme in New Barnet.
